Terms of Service

Article 1. Purpose

These Terms of Service govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Flica (hereinafter "Service") and users regarding the use of flashcard learning services.

Article 2. Definitions

• "Service" refers to all services provided by Flica, including AI-based flashcard creation, learning, review, and quiz functions.
• "User" refers to members who use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
• "AI-Generated Content" refers to flashcard content automatically generated through external AI services such as OpenAI.

Article 3. Effect and Amendment

• These Terms become effective when posted on the Service or notified to users.
• The Service may amend these Terms within legal limits, with changes announced in advance.

Article 4. Service Agreement

• The agreement is concluded when a user agrees to these Terms and completes registration.
• Registration may be refused for identity theft, false information, or other violations.

Article 5. Service Provision

The Service provides:

• AI-based automatic flashcard generation
• Manual flashcard creation and editing
• Spaced Repetition learning
• Quizzes and learning statistics

Service is available 24/7 in principle, but may be temporarily suspended for maintenance.

Article 6. AI Content Disclaimer

Article 7. External Service Disclaimer

• The Service integrates with third-party services like OpenAI and YouTube.
• The Service is not liable for issues from external service errors or policy changes.
• Usage may be restricted due to external service API limits or billing changes.
• External service terms follow their respective providers' regulations.

Article 8. Force Majeure

The Service is not liable when provision is impossible due to:

• Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, typhoons, fires, etc.)
• War, terrorism, riots, social unrest
• Government orders or law changes
• Telecommunications provider service interruption
• Cyber attacks such as hacking or DDoS
• Other reasons beyond Service control

Article 9. User Obligations

Users shall not:

• Use another person's information
• Provide false information
• Interfere with Service operation
• Infringe intellectual property rights
• Create or distribute illegal content
• Unauthorized commercial use

Users must comply with relevant laws and these Terms.

Article 10. Intellectual Property

• UI/UX, logos, and designs belong to the Service.
• User-created flashcard content belongs to the respective users.
• AI-generated content copyright follows relevant laws and external provider policies.

Article 11. Limitation of Liability

• The Service is not liable for free services unless required by law.
• The Service is not liable for disruptions caused by user negligence.
• The Service does not guarantee expected learning outcomes.

Article 12. Termination

• Users may request account deletion through settings at any time.
• The Service may terminate agreements with notice for Terms violations.
• User data will be processed according to relevant laws upon termination.

Article 13. Dispute Resolution

• Disputes shall be subject to courts in the Republic of Korea.
• Disputes shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
